Pool Types That Must Adhere to NSW Compliance Regulations

The swimming pool regulations of New South Wales apply to any pool structure that holds 300mm or greater and is intended for water activities such as swimming. These include:

  1. Concrete or fiberglass pools
  2. Inflatable pools
  3. Wading or temporary pools
  4. Above-ground swimming pools and spas

When Should I Schedule a Pool Inspection?

You must arrange for a professional assessment and inspection of your swimming pool before:

  • Selling your property
  • If you are planning to rent out or lease your pooled property, pool owners must include a valid certificate of compliance with the lease contract
  • It is very important to get an independent pool inspection if you plan on purchasing a home that has a swimming pool

Our team can carry out any repairs or improvements to your spa or pool area if necessary. For more information, please contact our team.

Compliance regulations include aspects such as the pool fence and gate, hinges and locking mechanisms. Here is a brief summary of pool fence requirements. Specific information will be provided by the pool certifier at your property.
